All products are entirely handmade by the foundation. The looms used are period (late 19th / early 20th).
Each interior is unique and we offer a tailor-made service : choice of materials, dimensions, patterns and colours ; we support you in your project.
The Costantine – the Foundation
The history of the Costantines originates from the cultural, social and political actions set up by 5 women who lived and worked in the first half of the last century. Their involvement and their pioneering work towards the emancipation and freedom of women, well-being and social cooperation, the preservation of the culture of the territory and the protection of the environment, converge in the project of the foundation.
It was in particular the two cousins, Giulia Starace and Lucia de Viti de Marco, who, heirs to the spirit and the work of their mothers, imagined, designed and made possible, through their respective wills, the creation of the Costantine : a place of coexistence, in which work, hospitality and help are combined according to ancient and modern knowledge.
