About the event

From June 8 to 12, 2022, the 45th edition celebrates its Vermeil Wedding this year. The event, awaited by art lovers, will be held in this highly prized historical site of the capital, a favorite playground where, as we know, illustrious personalities from the world of arts and culture lived or worked. – Juliette Récamier, Charles Baudelaire, Amedeo Modigliani, Alexandre Dumas, Jean-Auguste Ingres, Max Ernst, Jacques Lacan or, closer to us, Serge Gainsbourg. These emblematic characters have also contributed to giving a particular aura to this district of the left bank, which has seduced and still seduces generations of merchants who have succeeded there.

Gathered between the streets of Bac, Beaune, Lille, Montalembert, Saints-Pères, University, Verneuil and quai Voltaire - between the Louvre museum and the Orsay-Giscard d'Estaing museum -, the latter grouped within the association created in 1977, will be keen, as every year in June, to share their latest nuggets, and prepare for visitors a program rich in surprises.

Some 68 galleries – loyal to the event or new arrivals – are taking part in the event. Various specialties will be represented during this German-pratine walk. Each gallery will unveil an artist, a work or an object selected for its extraordinary character. Whether they are collectors or not, visitors will be able, thanks to this eclectic route, to unearth THE rare piece: ceramics, jewellery, watches, silverware, antiques, old paintings, marine objects, decorative arts, Chinese art, Haute Époque furniture or 18th century, modern or contemporary creation… A journey to the heart of Paris through 7000 years of history and rare objects.
